In this interview with artist Nate Page, OneHouse Arts Founding Teacher Guan Rong explains her philosophy of guiding children to see the world for themselves and tap into their authentic creativity.
LITTLE LESSONS
is a series of 25 art lessons for children ages 3-5 combining themes from daily life with art experiments to develop self-expression. Students will take inspiration from select storybooks and various household materials.
These workshops introduce:
★ Using basic art materials for a variety of visual effects
★ Developing visual thinking skills in observation and interpretation
★ Developing one’s own style with creativity and and expression
WILD THINGS / WILD SCENES
is a set of 10 stop motion shorts by OneHouse Arts students ages 4 to 12, created in classrooms in Irvine, Chino, Temple City, Monterey Park and Rowland Heights. The series premiered at the Velaslavasay Panorama for the screening Wild Things / Wild Scenes.
