Located in one of the region’s most culturally distinctive Chinese American communities, the space fulfills OneHouse Arts’ mission of bridging contemporary art and authentic arts education. The 600-square-foot space opened in 2022 and includes a 200-square-foot gallery whose vibrant yellow and blue walls and hand-painted ceiling create an enveloping, avant-garde environment where art and learning are inseparable. The classroom also houses a permanent collection of children’s artwork alongside works by contemporary artists, emphasizing that children’s voices deserve the same respect as professional artists.
